Dave Colvin is a seasoned emergency management professional with more than 25 years of municipal, institutional and volunteer experience. A Lifetime Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Dave brings extensive practical experience in emergency planning, Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) operations, incident management, interoperability, emergency communications and situational awareness.
As an experienced instructor and facilitator, Dave specializes in turning emergency management concepts into practical, scenario-based learning. His approach emphasizes the people, processes, technology and partnerships that organizations rely on when an emergency actually occurs.
Dave has extensive experience working with municipalities, counties, emergency services and partner agencies, and is an instructor in Ontario emergency management and Incident Management System (IMS) programs.
